Species: Walleye and Smallmouth
Time of year: Spring, Summer, and Fall
How to Fish: It's a great search bait for trolling while paddling around to find the location of humps and active fish. Cast and troll during the day in shallow windswept bays, shorelines, humps, and points till early summer. When it starts to warm in summer walleye and smallmouth bass will start to go deep during the day but these methods will still be effective when they come up to feed in low light hours. When fall comes around you can start fishing shad raps the same way you would during spring but the fish will be more scattered and harder to find.
Choosing Color: Use natural patterns on clear sunny days and on cloudy days use vibrant eye-catching patterns like a firefighter.
